SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

    Disk Index uses very few computer resources such as memory 
    and hard disk space, therefore no specific hardware requirements apply.
    
    This version of Disk Index runs on Windows NT4, 2000, 2003, 
    XP, Vista and Windows 7. It is reported to work on Windows 98 and ME.


INSTALLATION

  Install

    Run "setup.exe" that is included in the zipped distribution file and an 
    installation program will install Disk Index on your computer.

  Uninstall

    Stop Disk Index if it is running.
    Uninstall Disk Index via Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs.

    v1.5.0:

    - The program recognizes changing of disks and will show the new
      disk information automatically.
    - Information about files and folders has been added to the main 
      application (becomes visible after the disk has been indexed).

    - Added XP theme support.
    - Fixed a bug that did reset the logfile upon indexing a disk,
      although the user might have changed the logfile manually.
    - Disk Index didn't correctly scan copy-protected CD's and generated an
      conversion error dialog.

      Especially on Win2k and WinXP folders weren't correctly recognized.
